 Subject: 97 4x2 Hub/Wheel Assembly

Has anyone replaced the front hub/wheel assembly on their 97 or like 4x2 truck? I took it off after the tire shook around on the highway and swapped it with the other side to see if the other tire shakes and wiggles. I got the part # off the bearings. They are Timken #JRM4249A. I found them at AWBearings.com for $39.61 Each. Still cheaper than the $210 the dealer wants. I am going to take a hub assembly to a place that presses bearings to see if they can press in new ones. A&W bearings is @ (800)-535-9638. Let me know your thoughts.

Have not had identical proplem, but I have a 2000 Quad SLT with a growling front right bearing. Having trouble locating the bearing. I will try your number.

I'm Chris from A&W Bearings in Dallas and we do stock the JRM4249A Timken bearings but the price is $67.95 each as of the price guide for 2006...
