Subject: Jet Chip compatibility IP: Logged
Message: I've heard that Jet chips actually work pretty well with the 4.7L. If I installed one of these chips would I be able to later also use one of the hyperspeed computers as well as an IAT? Or would all those attachments be to much for the PCM? Is there some magical combination out there of different chips and computers that makes some amazing horsepower gains? I know the custom programming is the way to go but I haven't the time to send my computer away for 7 days. Any ideas FOR THE 4.7L would be appreciated.

Message: No help, but I'm in the same boat with ya CThomp. However, I've never heard anything positive with Jet chips, on any motor.

Message: Personally I would go with the IAT and the Hyperspeed controller. The Jet chip will only make less HP than the IAT and they don't work together. There is another way you could send your computer away to be flashed as well.

Message: Sounds good. IAT with a hyperspeed was what I wanted to originally do. I was wondering if had any other options. Saw some car t.v. show this weekend and the two hosts were talkin up the hyperspeed. I wonder if it is really worth the $399.00 cause thats alot of cash. Especially if its only worth a couple of horsepower. But they do state its worth quite a bit. Anyone have one?
CW, whats a TPS?

Message: Throttle Position Sensor I upped the voltage a little to improve throttle response. It is in the speed tweaks tips and tricks section.

Message: The Hyperspeed controller is working rather well in the Dakota. (Mine)
It'll be less than $399 though when we finally get the prices listed. ;)
