Subject: I need exhaust help! IP: Logged
Message: Just looking for opinions here...
I went out today to get quotes and I'm looking at putting on a Flowmaster 40 and then 3" pipe out of the muffler. Will I get any gains from this aside from a nice tone? Also, is it worth it to put 3" all the way from the cat back or will that destroy my bottom end? It's a 4.7
Any help or other suggestions would be great

Message: KEEP your pipe diameters stock, there's a reason for the size! change your muffler but use stock sized pipes.

Message: Thanks,
I went with the Flowmaster 40 and 3" pipe after the muffler into a polished tip, kept the stock pipe diameters before the muffler.
It sounds awesome!

Message: 1. If you want to save money, simply put a 2.5" center inlet/outlet bigblock II flowmaster on.
2. If you want to have the look and never worry about flow, have a well known muffler shop do the tubing along with a 3" bigblock II flowmaster.
Reason I like the bigblock is it flows like hell, but does not have the resonance !
