1) Disconnect NEG Battery Terminal.
2) Turn the ignition key to the START position and hold for 15-20 seconds.
3) Release key (OFF) and reconnect the battery.

So I have to disconnect all 3 wire that plug in the the PCM ?. Also, what you mean to turn the ignition key to start position ?. Iam sorry for being such a noob.

NO ... the negative terminal on the BATTERY. disconnect that, then turn your key all the way (like you were trying to start the truck)

Ahhh, OMFG I just disconnect all 3 of the wire that plug into the PCM, than I plug it back 30 second later. Will this do any harm ?.

maybe if you didnt have the battery disconected

I'm looking for better performance for my 2000
Dodge 2500 ram truck if I replace my PCM with a high performace one do I have to burn the vin# as well as the milage does the PCM store the Milage or is it stored in the odomitor cluster as well??

never had to turn the key. I just disconnect the neg term for 20 sec and hook it back up. i think the key turning is over kill.

i have a 96 dodge stratus with bad idle and knocking and have replaced almost everything and was told to check the PCM by a freind. i went to pic a part and every 1996 dodge stratus 2.4L that i found, the PCM was missing. are any of the PCM's compatable? please help!

Just tried that on my 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport, Seems to work!. Now need to know where the P.C.M. three wire plug is?, as apparently if you clean it and add Dielectric grease to connections it runs a little smoother.

wont start, i have spark and fuel to the fuel
rail, but no fuel to the plugs. what should i do?
