Subject: Airaid Intake installed

Message:
I just installed an Airraid Intake on my '01 4.7L CC, and am very happy withit. I know everyone says go K&N, but I acutally like the Airaid, I was surprised to feel the change between 2500 - 4000 rpm range.

I was wondering if anyone has installed the PowerAid throttle body spacer?

Yes, I have the airraid t.b. spacer on my 2000 r/t, and although some people dont like it, i love it. I can tell some difference and you can hear the air charge through it.

For those with the Airaid intake, on the front of the stock airbox (front being looking at it from truck front) there is a intake tube/pipe (plastic) that bends into the wheel-well, did you remove this?

Thanks for the info Brana, I know some say it doesn't help, but it sounds worth a try.

I have both the AirRaid cold air dam and TB spacer, no complaints here, sounds cool and the throttle is more responsive.

I still have the stock intake "horn" attached to airbox, don't really think it would change anything much they way it is set-up. If you could duct air directly into horn or side of stock airbox where horn attaches, that might.

ok, basically what I wanted to do was remove the "horn" attached to the stock intake, run a PVC pipe from the box to the passenger side of the radiator (removed the plastic flap) and have real air pumped into the airbox.

Anyone see any problems, and has anyone ever removed that "horn" thing, I might be missing somthing, but it doesn't seem to want to come out. I'm trying not to destroy it, but I will if I have to. :)

Cube,
What did you finally go with? I'm looking to do the same thing you mentioned over the weekend.
