Is it worth going to 180 from a 160? What are the ups and downs from this?

If you're supercharged (more than 9# boost)...keeping the engine cool does help with the 160. HOWEVER, you risk tripping the MIL (check engine light) due to a "Engine Too Cold Too Long" condition. Also, if the cooling system isn't up to par, the 160 can overheat the engine as it can't close to cool down the water in the radiator.

Stick with the 180...even Mopar Performance found that the 180 (runs at 185) makes the best power on the Magnum engines.
