So I was wondering, what is the heaviest load someone has pulled with their Dak?
I have a 02" QuadCab w/3.92 gears, 4.7L, heavy duty tow package, ect.... and I'm looking at a pulling an 18' trailer(2K lbs) w/ my CJ8(2.5+-K lbs) on it.
I know I'm golden, just wondering what the biggest load someone has pulled with their Dak......

I pulled an old ('77 or so) 12.5 ft (I think) scamper trailer this summer. I'm sure that thing weighs in excess of 5500lbs. I pulled it with much MUCH more ease than the 5.4L Ford half ton that normally pulls it (I borrowed the truck and trailer once, then just borrowed the trailer the other times I used it ... much easier pull with my truck).
2000 4.7L 5spd CC 3.55 LSD
Just curious, do you have an auto? Std? Do you pull in O.D. / 5th gear? I pulled that trailer without troubles in 5th, gearing down to 4th on the hills.

I have put over A ton of rock in the bed.
I have pulled out A freightliner with A 53' trailer.
I have hauled several cars on trailers.pulled A few of them.
not to mention A few small trees.
All with my 95 Dak. 5.2 5spd.
I have to say, this is the best truck I have ever owned.

Opps, forgot to mention that....it is an automatic.
Haven't pulled the Jeep itself yet, just the trailer, and I left it in OD. Never bothered to take it out of OD as it was mostly flat towing with minimal hills, i.e. 2% grade or less. Everything was smooth.
I'll give it a run this weekend just to check things out.
Part of the reason for this is that I've seen pics of a 2500 RAM pulling upwards of 30K lbs and those are rated for 18K lbs max. I'd post the link, but can't find it at the moment.

2002 CC 4x4 4.7L 3.92's and ALL the HD options
I've pulled an escort off the free way
I've ripped out 15 year old bushes that were 4 ft across
I've also pulled a 71 vette on a 2000 lb trailer (about 5300#'s)
about 100 miles, the trans felt a little slugesh in the 98 degree heat but it was fine
3rd gear the whole tome (4spd auto)

I pull a 21 foot holiday trailer loaded with my dirt bike. I gross out at about 9300lbs. I can pull this in fifth gear as long as there is no head wind.

I pulled an 80 foot sweetgum log(med. density wood) out of the woods with mine one day, and have pulled as much as 6000# with it. I've never seen a hill it won't pull something up in 2nd gear :)

I pull a 30' camper trailer. Curb wieght is #6750, about #7200 loaded. NO Problem with '01 QC 4.7L 3.92 rears and heavy duty tow pkg. Don't look at your gas mileage though, uphill, I was getting 4MPG level, about 7MPG

'02 QC 4X4 auto 5.9 stock w/ K&N drop-in 3.92sure grip HD group w/ tow pak.
Tows '03 25ft Prowler @ 5600lbs loaded. Took to local scales, combo wieghed in at 10,500lbs (truck & trailer loaded for camping trip). Max rated @ 10,800lbs. Cruises well with O.D. off.
