When I take off and when I back up, my truck makes a quick little tick-tick sound. It's actually exactly two ticks. It's coming from below or the rear of the truck. What the heck is that?

It sounds like the U joints!! I don't know how hard is it to change them in the Dak. But I once changed them in a Mazda truck and it was a pain in the neck(literately). But I'm sure someone here has done it already and he will be kind enough to let you know how.

That clicking/buzzing sound is normal in ALL Chrysler transmissions. So don't worry about it. For piece of mind, contact your local dealer and speak with the service manager.

The clicking noises heard from the tranny are normal. It's just the solenoids changing the gear selection.

Haha everthing is fine guys . It's the tranny its jut how they are, same thing happened with my 71 dart Swinger 318. Also that noise in the rear is just the differential locking when you break, thats normal too. Sounds like a sweaky noise.

Actually on second thought there could be something a tad bit wrong LOL I researched it and I'm having the same sound so I'm really not that sure after reading another similar post to someone with a front popping sound. HAHA lets all put our heads together and figure out this problem.
