I bought a used 2000 Dakota V8 and it still has the 100,000 7 year warranty but the previous owner can't find the paper work for it. Does anyone know if I can just go to the dealer the previous owner bought the truck from and just transfer my name on to the warrenty by myself?

if the warranty was purchased as a extended warranty you should be able to transfer it. If it is a factory offered warranty like now the 7/70 you cant
