Subject: Engine Light IP: Logged
Message: It seems that this has come up frequently in discussion, but nothing quite seems similar to my situation.
Here it is:
Today I drove approx. 125 miles in 100 degree temps mostly highway in my 2000 5.9L QC SLT. It then sat for three hours. While loading items to leave I let the engine run (approx. 15 minutes or less). Temp was fine when I drove off. Then about a mile down the road it stalls. I move off to the side (thanks to the hill), and restart it. The check engine light comes on. Everything is fine. I even let it idle for awhile to see if it stalls again, but it didn't. Not knowing the area I head for home. Everything is fine all the way home until I get to a monster hill near my home. I can barely make it up the hill, and the temps is normal, but higher than it ever has been in any situation. I have checked for leaks and disconnections, shifting is fine, idle is fine, everything that I could think off. My only guess is that there is an emmissions system problem. Let me know if there is anything else I could be looking for before I go to the dealer. It is still under warranty at 56-57K miles, but don't remember what is specifically recovered of the top of my head. Just want an idea so I know what to talk to the guys at the shop about seeing I just moved from CO to MD. Thanks in advance for the help.

Message: Forgot to mention that I had the A/C running the whole time. There didn't seem to be a change in gas mileage either. I having trouble relating because the only other power issues I have had with a truck was my prior one which was an 85 Ford Bronco II V6 with 150+K miles. Thanks Again.
