I have a '94 5.3 V8, Its great in the torque department but I know it has more. I cut out the cat converter and that helped a bit, but I'd like to do more myself. Can anyone help with a cheap way to up my HP ?

Do you mean you have a 5.2L?
Put a turbo muffler on it($25 if you do it yourself).
IAT relocated(free).
Homebrew cold air intake($25 at local hardware store).(k & N filter $40)
IAT box($35)
autolite 3923 plugs($10)
Port your TB(if you have a dremel and are handy, it is free).
Accel coil($40)
$175 is pretty cheap
