Subject: JBA vs Gibson Headers

OK,

I am now looking at some new headers to go with my 2000 4.7L. I already have a fastman 68mm TB and a giboson split rear cat back, intense performance air intake. My dilemma is JBA or Gibson headers. Any pros or cons to using JBA with a gibson Catback? Gibson says their headers are "tuned" for their exhaust. However in a couple years I'll probably go supercharger with true dual flowmasters. thoughts on the headers?

im sure you will get about the same amout of power, which on the 4.7 is almost nothing

i dont have a 4.7, but i have heard that the stock manifolds on thoes are really good. you might want to save your money

I just read one of the previous chats and wondered the same question: I have a 5.7 ltr Denali, w/ exhaust, intake, spacer, pullys,& hypertech reprogrammer & was going for either GIBSON OR JBA stainless steel headers-
WHICH SHOULD I GO FOR ??????

Kota is right. From what I understand you should only get headers for the 4.7L if you plan on going to forced induction. Then you'll get some power out of them. Otherwise you'll be spending $400-$600 on looks.
