I just purchased a 2006 Dodge dakota I only hve 200 miles on it it is only 2 weeks old. Some times when I start to drive it it acts like it doesn't want to go maybe like it is in 4 low but it is not. Then if you turn the truck off and turn and start it agin it will be fine. I took it to the shop and they can't find anything wrong with it. any ideas

Just got a full flush including dropping the pan and changing the filter at 50K. Noticing the difference in tranny performance I'd say this is a highly recommended maintenance item for the 50-60000 mile range if you like the go-pedal.

Had no major problems before except shifts got a tiny bit rougher and when going from reverse to drive and back the truck would sometimes jerk slightly. Since the flush I can barely feel this thing shift and there is no shudder or jerking under any conditions. I forgot how good this tranny shifted when brand new.

Since transmission shift quality can shift so gradually over time you may not notice that the truck is no longer shifting like it did brand new. I've since thrown on a cooler so hopefully that will help even more.

By the way don't waste $$ on Mopar ATF plus 4, get Valvoline or something else that meets the specs for half price.

My 03 dodge dakota is losing transmission fluid, there are no sign of leaks and under the truck frame is dry. Where is the fluid going?
