I've got a quick question. My truck does not seem to idle like it used to. It used to idle about 700 rpm, but now it seems to fluctuate from 700 to 1000 rpm. It will sit at 1000 for about five seconds, drop to 700 for a second, then go back up. It does this no matter what the temp is of the truck. Could it be a sensor (tps) or a vacuum leak? The 5.2 in my truck has been modified with a Holley throttle body, 180 t-stat, and Flowmaster exhaust. None of these have made a difference since the Holley and the exhaust were put on about 40,000 miles ago and this just started recently. Has anyone experienced this before? I have not messed with EFI to much, so any help would be great.

Could be the IAC solinoid located at the back of the throttle body. It controls the amount of air taken in at idle vs. fuel. It was explained to me that when some of them get old the tend to get slow. If that is the case the solinoid will always be a little behind where it needs to be and cause fluctuations. Just something to look at.
