 Subject: How many gen 3 daks out there

Iwas just wondering how many people on this website have 97 or newer daks and out of those how many hate having the 6 bolt patteren for wheels. The reason I say that is a friend of mine works at a chrysler dealership and the other day they had where selling a ram and they put different wheels on it and the other ones went in the trash so my buddy brought them home and they still have the tires on them but they only have 5 holes and they are the 5star inverted ones piss me off because I WANTED THEM TO PUT ON MY TRUCK but hey won't fit !

I think all Daks and Durango's use six bolts, while Ram's use five bolts.

All 97= dakota's and durango's share the same 6 x 4.5 bolt pattern, the ONLY other vehicle that has this bolt pattern as well is the VIPER

Yes I know that the daks and durangos all have 6 bolts I was just stating the fact that it is a pain in the arse that or the cars you can change wheels around like for ex. my wifes cirrus I have the stock wheels from my duster and I use them for the winters and the crome ones that came on the car are for summer so I just wish that I could use the wheels that my friend has from the ram for summer and the ones that came on my truck for winter thats all. Because try to find extra wheels from daks. in salvage yards there hard to find they just don't have them.

I have a '00 CC Black Dak Sport, 4.7L Auto, 3.55.
Just ordered my R/T wheels, she'll be looking sweet soon :) I got the low end wheels on mine - the 15x7 - they look tiny :)

i have a 97 dakota and i did a 5.2 -5.9 swap i want to get a set of wheels in a 15inch impossible to find a after market rim that looks good the only size i found was 18, 20, 22, some companies do not make a 6x4.5 2004 and newer dakotas are a 5x5.5

its not the issue with the 6 lug ,its the pattern because gm uses the 6lug pattern buts a 5.5 spaceing and the dakotas /durangos use a 4.5 spaceing
