 Subject: Cheap Mod for a 5.2

um yeah i'm wandering if theres any other cheap things i can do to get some more hp for my truck i have catback duals and no cat and a K&N filter and i took the blocker plate off but i got beat by a grand am the other day and it wasnt even a gt so i wanna mak eit a litle faster so is there any way?

Go to speedtweaks.net. Bernd has all kinds of free mods and tips on there. The only other thing that's fairly cheap is a bigger throttle body.

yeah the plastic piece that covers up the front of the air hos its right by the passenger side light......... i cant put a cold air induction on my truck casue i have a 2" body lift and everyone says it wont work

I don;t see any reason you can't put a cold air intake even with your 2in body lift... just be sure that WATER doesn't get into the filter.
Thats the cheapest and the best mod[ and moving you IAT sensor with it also} is the greatest thing you can do w/o spending ALOT of money.

I have a 3" lift and mine works fine. If you get the K&N you'll just have to trim the heatshield that attaches to the fender.

The Air Intake Sensor is screwed into the second runner back from the front on the passenger side.
