Subject: off-road y-pipe IP: Logged
Message: quick question: I own a 00' dak R/T and I'm wondering does anyone make an off road version Y-pipe(no cat)...i don't want to hack up stock pipe...any help would be great...thanks

Message: I thought the 2000 didn't have precats but I would put a y pipe from a ealier model R/T on. I think JBA makes one may take some fabrication though. Just a thought.

Message: Just get the Mopar headers, and remove the cat!!! There is no "off road" pipe that can be installed and removed easily. I have seen guys get the cat mounted into a removeable section of pipe that can be replaced with a straight pipe when needed. Probably about the closest you will get to what you want.

Message: ya, its got a main cat welded in at the end of the y collector...maybe i can hack off then weld up pipe in place...but i'm not sure if the y-pipe is 2 1/2 or 2 1/4...would like 2 1/2...maybe tru duals way to go??...loss of low end???
