You might trip some codes if you go that cold. I have heard that it is a 50/50 shot for tripping codes.

I ran one on my '97 V6 without any issues...except for the gas mileage going to sh-t. The Magnum engines make their best power at 185 (even Mopar wrote an article on this)...stick with the 180.

Well, despite my earlier post, that little ba$tard known as "Murphy" caught up with me today...

Put the 160 in about three weeks ago, no problems until this morning. Light is on, set a code. I'm going to the 180.

Yea, I learned long ago not to declare anything absolute because it's bound to slap you in the face...but we all screw up sometimes!

BTW, what do you think of the Hotchkis drop kits? I've been looking at them and Bell, trying to make a decision.

Later,
Wally

What was the code? I installed a 160 t-stat about a week ago and last night the check engine light came on. Since I have a 97, I was told to do the on, off, on, off, on trick with the key. I got a code 12 on my odometer. My manual says 12 is : Battery Power to PCM Disconnected. What is that, or is it a generic message. Any info is appreciated.

engine doesnt run hot enough to run
efficiently. Gum your motor up unless you
drive it really hard all the time.
Stick with the 180 unless your in arizona!
