hey i was wondering if any of you got tint on your dakotas? if so, what vlt percentage did you get and what brand of tint.
oh and does anyone know of a do-it-yourself tinting site?

I have some on the rear window,about the same as the factory tint on the CC,matches up great! I just can't think of the %. Oh and by the way,if you do get some,the installer said NOT to use any glass cleaner with vinagar in it. He said it will,after time,turne it purple.

Vinagar? I guess that too, but I wouldn't use ammonia either.
I'm hoping to tint my truck pretty soon..but my money tree keeps dyin' on me.

I HAVE A 2000 4X4 DAK AND ALSO OWNA TINT SHOP. MY TRUCK LOOKS BAD ASS, I HAVE MY BACK 5 WINDOWS LIMO (6%) OVER THE FACTORY 35%, PLUS LIMO ON MY FRONTS AND MY WINDSHIELD IS 35%. oF COURSE ITS ILLEGAL, BUT LOOKS NICE. i'VE ALSO DONE A LOT OF CUSTOM FLAMES ETC...I WOULD RECCOMMEND HAVING A PRO INSTALL YOUR TINT OR IT WILL USUALLY LOOK LIKE CRAP. sTICK WITH llUMAR FILM IN EITHER THE CENTAUR OR ATR SERIES

Yeah i'm running the 15% titanium tint. It looks sweet. Very illegal but worth it

I have a 00 black quadcab and all the windows are tinted to match the facctory tinted glass, even my front glass is tinted. Looks mean.adds about 20 hp too. lol

My 2002 w/ rear window defrost, is tinted already, would it be ok to tint over it? Would the defroster give me any problems?

the defroster will only give you problems if you ever decide to remove the tint. but if you dont plan on removing it then it wont cause probs

Window tint over defroster lines actually makes them work better. It's basically insulating them, thus making them more effective.
