My 4.7 Durango, with intake, exhaust and TB mods gets an average of 13.8 miles per gallon. That is stop and go with some freeway. If you are cruising at 65, expect around 18 mpg. Also, check out www.durangoclub.com and go to the forum section. I would also ask this question there, you will get a bunch of responses.

! Hey, my 1998 dodge durango SLT 5.9 litter V8 gets about 28.5 miles/gallon crusing at 65mph!! , yeah i know your saying no way but i installed an after market intake with a flow blade that makes the current flow in a circlular way into the engine, also four prong spark plugs and fueling up with 93 octane helped me too but i love it !!

Does your Durango have 1000 horsepower and outrun Corvettes too?

Come on! Everyone knows that when you own a Dodge, you need to tow a gas station cuz it burns so much fuel. Were you actually falling off the Golden Gate Bridge getting that kind of mpg?

I struggle to get 23 out of mine around town. I know that when I was on the Interstate I did manage 27. I do not think that is bad.
