Message: When you reinstalled the cams, did the sprockets have the "V-8" marks pointing STRAIGHT UP?? They have to point straight up when the sprocket is reinstalled or else the cams are out of phase with each other. Take the covers back off and check for this.

Message: Did you get your coil packs back on correctly and
plugged in? Is it possible you damaged the cam
position sensor or forgot to plug it back in on
the passenger side?

Message: You got to bring it back to TDC and check the mark on the front cover (use a mirror)then check the sprockets sounds like one side is a couple of teeth off,Make sure the V8 mark is at 12 oclock if not pull the sprocket,Use the vice grips with two people this time and realign the marks.Good Luck

Message: This may sound dumb but did you remember to plug in the coils. The codes are for the coils no reaching propor current draw in the time allowed.

Message: The instructions I have do not call for taking the reservoir off, however, it looks kinda tight for gettting a torque wrench in there with it on. I plan on doing this on Wednesday, so any tips would be appreciated. Also, what did you use to keep the timing chain tight while you torqued down the cam bolt? The instructions call for special tool ----, which is basically a spanner wrench with pins that stick into the cam sprocket? Did you use that tool, or do you have another trick?
thanks

Message: I had to take the power steering pump off. I
didn't have enough room to get my torque
wrench with the socket on it. No worries, its
just 3 more bolts. Good Luck

Message: gsmarquis- you prolly ripped the o-ring on the reservoir. Matt Barret got that leak, too when he did his conversion. The dealer does not sell that o-ring separately at the counter, so you will prolly have to take it to a hardware store and find soemthing close. Makes a biiiig mess, though.

Message: Hey CRM! How much $$ does the dealer charge to install them and how does that affect warranty? I do all of my own work on my cars but this is a 2002 and I have a 7 yr warranty I cannot afford to void. Thanks

Message: not sure how it will affect my warranty, havent asked them that specifically yet. i am getting a reduced price on the labor ($55/hour) for being a member of a local Mopar club they sponsor. once i setup a day for the install (later this month) i'll make sure they wont blacklist me for getting them installed. but i get the impression from the guy thats putting it together for me that they wont give me a hard time if something does go wrong. plus, if they install it and something breaks down the road, it was them that broke into the engine, not me :)

Message: gsmarquis, I had the same problem with the PS reservoir. I mistakenly took the front mounting bolt out of the resevoir. When I pushed on the reservoir to move the pump out of the way, the reservoir disengaged the pump. I reached over and pushed it back into to pump. When I did that, it cut the oring seal. It leaked like crazy while the engine was running. So, I took the reservoir off and pulled the o-ring off. CHRYSLER DOES NOT SELL THIS O-RING. #@%@$@$%@!!!! I spent 2 days searching every parts place trying to match up an oring, and YES its a crazy size o-ring. I finally found a seal at Carquest in their A/C o-ring section. I bought 2 !! just in case, if you still have a need, I will send you my extra seal.
BTW, DO NOT remove the PS pump. Take it loose from the engine, and leave the pressure line attached. Then remove the return hose, and finally remove the reservoir from the pump.
Its damn near impossible to remove the pressure line !
Matt
