Subject: dakotas hard on trannies????? IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a used '99 club cab 4X4, and I'm
really happy with it. When I got it, the guy at
the dealership was suggesting to get the extended
warranty, because, he said, Dakotas are famous for
going through trans-missions. Just wondering if
that was sales bull or if there's any merit to it,
and if so what tips for prevent. maintenance
should I do???? Now I'm kind of worried that I
bouht it. Damn I just want to enjoy my

Message: I busted the input shaft on my NV3500 on a 4th gear shift. I had only a little over 8,000 miles.
the only mod i had at the time was custom CAI and some lakewood bars.
