Hi guys. Im a tech at DC dealer. When you took the truck in, they should have hooked their DRB to you truck and went for a test drive paying close attention to the actual gov pressure and target gov pressure. They basically increase with vehicle speed. You guys are right about the gov press swith and solenoids being a common problem. Also the kickdown cable plays a big role in shift timing. I would first loosen the kickdown cable little by little until it starts shifting earlier. If this don't help the gov swith/solenoid are suspect.

01 RT I have the exact same problem on my 01 Reg cab R/T. Have you gotten it fixed yet? If so, what was the exact problem?

Thanks

I posted the last message on this thread 3 months ago and noone replied to it.

I'M PISSED OFF THAT NO PERSON HERE CAN BE NICE ENOUGH TO GIVE ME AN ANSWER.

Anyway, I have a shift kit but not installed yet. Hopefully that will fix my problem. Two Dodge service departments couldn't find out what was wrong. Maybe the tranny shop I go to for the shift kit can fix it.

Thanks for the help that I wasn't given

Dodge's "star" a@@holes deny this even being a problem and say that is a normal characteristic of the vehicle at least this is what two service departments have told me. I have a 2003 with this problem and I have asked on other threads and this problem wasnt fixed for me by any sensors or tv cable adjustments. And I would bet that anybody that gets these fixed the problem is likely to return. I had a guy tell me that these transmissions have cheap valve bodies and they actually warp. My suggestion and my plan is to get a transmission cooler, a new valve body, shift kit and replace all sensors again while I am in there just in case. And since Dodges warranty is absolutely worthless. I have to pay for all of this myself. Thanks dodge...how do you expect me to buy anything else from a company who doesnt back its product.
