Subject: Belt Slipping?

I have a 01 CC Dakota 4x4 with the 4.7L automatic. I Love this truck and have had no problems. I can honestly say this truck is fun to drive. Even to and from work. This occasionally leads to problems: bad milage, speeding tickets, etc. Not wanting to go to PA driving school I've been put into a position of trying to obey the posted speed limits as best I can. I try to keep it a 40 on my rural 35 posted commute. Occasionally I get a tailgater at this pace and love to take advantage of an intersection that has a stop sign at the bottom of a 40 degree, mile long hill to blow people away. The past couple of times I've really got on it going up this hill I've heard a sort of 2 second squeal from the front drivers side when the truck shifts from second to third. Almost sounds like a belt slipping. Which leads to some questions. Could this be my serpentine belt slipping? Transmission? Should I just stop being so lead footed up this hill? It's never done it on the flat or smaller hills only this one hill from a stop. Anyone else had a similiar experience? I have 17k on the truck. Should I get it checked out or just keep an eye on it? I Probably won't be able to reproduce these conditions for the Dodge garage and I still have close to 20k worth of warranty. Any info would be appreciated.
