 Subject: 4.7 power mods

What are the best mods to do to the 4.7? So far I have an intake, catback exhaust and a gear. How much do the TB's help (doesn't seem like only 287 ci would need 70mm, correct me if I am wrong)? I was thinking of doing the HO cams but I might wait for somthing more aggressive. Do the headers help much? The y pipe looks very restrictive. What ever happend w/ the HO intake? Any track #'s? Does anyone make an underdrive pulley for the 4.7? Does anyone know the exact specs of the HO cams and the stock cams(intake/exhaust duration/lift)?

"when" is the operative word...it's easier waiting when i have a whole bunch of other goodies lined up. but i know the PCM upgrade is gonna kick it up a couple notches once the other stuff is installed...
Tom @ Speedtweaks mentioned something about the fall. might need to schedule a day trip to Austin :)

asp makes an underdrive pulley for the 437. its 269.00 bucks through summit racing. i guess that they must be very proud of the darn thing.

does the asp pulley remove the harmonic damponer. I almost bought an asp crankpulley for a previous car but it was found it would spin out the main bearings, Plus many parts of the 4.7l are hyperetic, which is notorius for breaking from harmonic vibrations.
just some food for thought if you get the crank pulley.

Hey Conig not to beak your bubble but the pistons are just cast units. The ASP unit is a whole new balancer ass.

well i was going to say something a little nicer about the pulley being one with the dampner but since you so elequently beat me to it i will leave now.
