 Subject: Kicking into overdrive to soon

Got an 04 V8 automatic Dakota that’s shifting into my overdrive
gear at 50km/h when warmed up. Got the transmission fluid
changed and topped off for a start and no change. I keep the OD
off while driving through town then kick it on around 70km/h to
avoid this. It will also shudder when I give it gas to shift out of the
OD gear as if there’s no load on the tranny because my RPM’s are
at 1000-1200 in this case. Anybody got anything? I’m thinking it’s
my torque converter but praying it ain’t that bad.
