 Subject: Transmission Temperature Sensor

I have an 03 Dakota Sport 4x4
with a 4.7 and a 545rfe
transmission. I do some
towing and have a history of
bad experiences with auto
transmissions so I want to
install a transmission
temperature gauge.
I was told once there was a
test port on the tranny I
could plug into, but I
couldn't find it. I'm
unwilling to have a sensor
sticking out the bottom of
the pan, so the drain plug is
out, and there's not room on
the side of the pan. Anyone
have ideas or, better yet,
pics of successful installs?
