 Subject: 1992 5.2 V8 318 Backfire

Ok y’all, I’m Carson and I have the above engine in my
Dakota. Whenever I start it up, this sucker will backfire like a
son of a gun. REALLY loud, and completely at random. It will
mainly only do it in drive but when I first start it up sometimes
it’ll do it once or twice in park. As well it gets worse whenever I
get on the highway. I have cleaned my K&N, replaced plugs
and wires, and put fuel injector cleaner in the tank about five
starts ago. Just wondering if y’all have any ideas. As well a
previous owner put headers on this thing.
