 Subject: Fuel Filter Relay

So late last week my truck would not start.
Gave me "no bus" message on the odometer. Well
Saturday I replaced the fuel pump relay, fired
right up. Today while driving it died again. So
I swapped the relay with my wiper relay, both
truck and wipers now work. This seems
impossible to me. I'm expecting the truck to
die again sometime soon. My question is this,
what could cause the relay to stop working,
even when its still works, if that makes sense.
Fuel Pump? Fuel Filter? Short? Please help.
