That other dude posted asking if anyone was near to him, and i noticed that many of yall said you lived in texas, just not close to him. Who here is from texas? Where abouts do you live? Im live in a little town, Lancaster, just a lil ways south of dallas. Anyone know any good performance shops around the metroplex?

Garland, TX. Kinda new to the mods and performance stuff, but here's what I've been able to gather from all the LS-1 guys at work:
There is a place called Speedtech in east Dallas that does Dyno Days the first Sat of every month. $45 for 3 pulls with a full A/F reading (might be measuring more than A/F mix though). Havent been there but thats where they go to dyno their mutant Firebirds and Lightnings. I'll be going to next month's Dyno Day, should have my Fastman TB by then.
Harry's Hot Rod is in Grand Prairie. Dont know much about them other than they've been around for a long time. I think they might just be retail, dunno if they do any custom work or not.

Born in Dallas Tx, then moved all over. Irving, Garland, Mesquite, Richlands, Oak Cliff, Paris (I'd rather not talk about that place) And a few other little places, but only for short times. Now stationed in North Carolina, missin' my home, but I'll be back one day (2years, 5 months, 20 days, too many hours...) Do my 5 then back home I go. Sportin' a Texas flag on my QC registered in NC :)

The only performance shop around here is custom ride, it belongs to the same guy that owns the muffler shop here.
By the way, Granbury is about 30-40 miles southwest of Fort Worth on US 377.

Slanty, I know exactly how you feel man, I'm from Tomball (just outside of houston) and I am stationed here in san diego, ca, been here for exactly 2 yrs. Theres no place like home, I have 17 months left!!! and cant wait to take my baby (my dak) back home. You oughtta see peoples faces when I pass them up and they see the TEXAS plates that display proudly in bold blue letters "TEXAS TRUCK"... he he. Its nice.

So I been to a few states since I been in, and I can't imagine actually being born and raised in any of them? I mean I don't think I could possible say, I was born in "this place" or "that place" (*edited so as not to offend*) I can't even make my toung say it... say it with me, "I was born and raised in TEXAS... TEXAS" It just rolls off the toung.

Hey 5pnt9ltrluv, you say you're in Denton right now? You know the two story (ghetto a$$) Green and white house on the corner of Hicory and Walsh, it's on the corner of UNT camp. I used to live there, about two years ago. That place was so bad you could feel the house shift with the wind. We used to have this bowling ball that we would put in the middle of the room and watch it roll a differant way each time. One time during a storm we set it free, and it rolled one way then changed it's mind and rolled another. livin' in tha PROjects baby!!! Wish I could make it to fry street fair, but it's about 1800 miles from here to there. I actually drove my QC to Texas and back about a month ago, made darn good time. 18 hour drive in only 16... not too shabby. V8's thirsty!!! I miss home,S~

Slanty- yup, I am in denton now. I know of the house you speak of! I know some one that is living there now, They should condemn that house! I used to live in the Fry area near the Corkscrew, but now I live near Teasley and the Highway in some brand spanking new apartments...

Please tell me that the window in the "living room" area of that green and white house (upstairs) has been replaced. That thing was broke out for about 5 or 6 months... then I moved. Drunken hi hat fell through it and went downsatirs to see what the guys downstairs were doing :) Some hot A$$ girls used to live behind us though, I think like 7 or 8 of them? We used to sit on the roof and get drunk as all hell and some other stuff and the chicks next door would always flash us and stuff. WOW I wanna go back to Denton... Is there any kind of base near there? Maybe I could get stationed there, yeah that would be nice!
Anyone like to go to Dave & Busters? I used to work at the one on 35... Used to go to this little 24 hour sushi bar after all the bars closed somewhere on harry heinz (spl?) right off of 35. That place was ruff! But you can't beat 24 hour liquer!!! You just gotta be nice to the pimps that are always in there, ahh live and let live.S~

I'm in Dallas too.
I've also heard of Speedtek & Harry's Hot Rod. There's also ET Automotive in Garland.
Hey Kris saw an Atlantic Blue R/T at Bledsoe Dodge in Garland...that thing wasn't there long at all, the black and graphite ones have been there forever...goes to show how kickass the color of our truck is. :)

The other night (Saturday) I was driving down 121 and a dood in a suped up Intense Blue RC R/T got beside me. His lisence plate said "RT 360". Anyone know this guy?
