Subject: HP and TORQUE loss... IP: Logged
Message: In an article in the newest issue of 'TruckTrend, the did a comparision between our R/T's, the lightning and tacoma type-s. Beside the fact that they seemingly condiscended the value of our trucks, at least in my opinion, the had some numerical statistics. The said that the r/t looses almost 100 hp from the engine to the wheels, and more torque. Is there any mods that will help regain these loses? Would pully's help? Just wondering, did yall read that article???

They are about as knowledgeable about the RT as people in Hawaii growing Catcus's ...
A stock 2000-2002 RT puts 200-210 hp to the rear wheels. Period. Take your flywheel hp rating of 250, take off 20% for driveline loss (max), that leaves you with roughly 200-204 hp. If it were an NV3500 5 speed, figure 15-18% loss (max).
I'm happy with my 283 rwhp! *about 356 at the flywheel!*
