Message: Kota in Alaska: yours seems like a general type of question, that someone "in the know" might head you in the general direction of an answer.
Something like "Yeah, weld two new tabs with 9/16th in holes 4 1/2 inches in front of the old engine mounts and you're as good as gold!" or the like.
(or worse: "can't be done, the steering gear is in the way" kind of info)
I have searched this forum for a few simple answers to a couple of basic questions a number of times now, and I am afraid all I have found are inane answers like "Call the dealer for that answer", and repetitive endless flame-wars about useless information unrelated to the subject presented.
(Personally, today, all I want is a friggin;' PART NUMBER or ideas for a decent, larger radiator to tow with for my '01 Sport Quad-cab with a 5.9 liter. The BEST forum discussion I found - which ain't saying much - had to do with the molecular mass of aluminum, plutonium and copper, and who's mother was 'more smarter'. This might be a nice forum for folks who make a lot of mud on their cement driveway when they WASH their Dakota)
I wanna tow my 5th wheel up from the North Dakota heat (!) to the cool Alaskan frozen mud. I'll be the guy that recognizes your oncoming grille on the Trans Alaskan, and waves like mad. Maybe I'll have to plug a CHEVY RADIATOR in this b*tch, but I WILL be a gittin' (per the song) "North, to Alaska, the rush is on" Kota!)
Anyways, Kota in Alaska... enuff time has passed that you either made it work, or it didn't. How'd you do on the project? Didn't get too much grease, oil or mud on that fancy cement driveway of yours, I hope!
