I have this issue and wanted some some other opinions. It doesn't do it every day but on occasion after few miles of driving when im slowing on a turn or traveling between 5-30mph in a turn i get this loud growling/grinding noise that sounds like a knobby tire rubbing into a wheel well. Most of the time once i come out of the turn it goes away, but i can go days without an issue and other days it will do it a lot. I plan on driving this truck 400miles soon for a vacation and prefer not to break down or lose a wheel because of a damn wheel hub. But i also don't have money to just piss into the wind with either so i would like some re-assurance from people who's encountered this before. I plan to Jack it up after work and check for play on the wheel hubs.
Thanks everyone for the help.

I cannto get any 12-6 o clock play out of either wheel. but i can get some decent play side to side on both wheels. can wheel hubs cause side play? I dont see or hear clunks of a tie rod end moving.
