Subject: 98 5.2 dakota wont start IP: Logged
Message: hey yall I have a 98 Dakota auto and its been not starting lately. as soon as I can get it running it run like a champ for a few days, then nothing. ive tried heet(I live in Minnesota) I always run 91 octane non oxy. power to the fuel pump pressure to the rail. cap rotor plugs and wires have all been changed. from what I have seen on here maybe ignition coil is a good place to start? I just don't know anymore

Message: You may want to check the Hall Effect sensor just below the rotor in the distributor. These were a frequent source of problems.
