Subject: 4.7 Idle issue IP: Logged
Message: 2001 Dakota 4x4 auto. After running great for years, one morning it refuses to start without throttle input and won't idle whether cold or warmed up... Take my foot off the throttle it dies! Can only drive it with one foot on the throttle, the other on the brake. What gives? Local mechanics are stumped...
All/any help appreciated.

Message: mine does the same thing, I replaced the MAP and the IAC valve. the TPS looks in good shape but I was curious why the coolant temp sensor. because right before this happened it started to overheat
