Hi I have a 96 dodge Dakota v8 automatic and I'm haveing
Transmission problems. The transmission has been slipping
for a while so couple week ago i was driving it and it was
shifting fine the i had to stop at home to pic this ladder up so I
backed up to get out drive way and shifted in to drive and
started to drive it is driving but it won't shift in to 3rd and over
drive. So I brought it back home pulled transmission out and I
went to auto zone to but a transmission rebuild kit. ( kit came
with all the seals and clutches) so after I got it all back together
I go to drive it and I put it in drive it will shift 1st, to 2nd, and
sometimes to 3rd, but when it goes in to 3rd, it will stay in to
3rd for about 10 seconds then down shift automatically. I even
replaced all the electronics on the transmission, can anyone
please help me I am really snowed on this one please help?
