I have a 2004 dakota with about 200,000 miles . When
should I change the timing chain and gears. It has
the 4.7 v8 this is our only vehicle . We would be
taking it to dodge to have it done.

Timing chains often do not require replacement.
There is a 250k "inspection" interval, that's it.
