This is an automatic transmission I assume. You feel the transmission go into gear when you put it in drive, but when you step on the gas it doesnt move as if you have your emergency brake on? The engine revs (different than if you had it in neutral) but you get no vehicular movement?
Just trying to figure out a more detailed explanation of your situation.
