Message: Hey guys having problems with truck
overheating. I just put in a new
oil pressure gauge and its close to
the extreme high. its not a fan
problem. There's no oil in the
water either. could it still
possibly be a head gasket and if so
how could I tell? Are there any
alternative ways to fix a head
gasket without replacing it?
P.S. I am using antifreeze

Message: You can do the block sealer stuff. Worked good on my 3.0
toyota when its head gasket blew. But try just putting in a
lower thermosate in it like a 165-180. Helped mine switching
to the 180. Thinkin bout swappin to the 165 not sure yet.

Message: If you are burning coolant you should be able to smell it from
the exhaust. Also take a look at the spark plugs. You can tell if
you're burning coolant be the color of the plugs. You don't
want to install a t stat with a lower temp than 185 unless you
want the CEL to stay on.
