I have a complete wrecked 99 Dakota with a 5.2L with only 72,000 miles. I also have a 2000 Dakota with a 4.7L with 207,000 miles. I was thinking about swapping engines in them. Is this possible ? what all will I need to do?? please help..

Dodgetalk had a guy take his 99 Dak and put in a 5.7 Hemi, a quick search should set you right.
I read through the entire thread myself already, and while it tends to be more of a journal of his work than anything, he does tend to mention the process in detail, so it should atleast give you a general idea of what needs to be done.

Swap the engine, trans, PCM and under hood wiring harness.
That should about do it, 99 and 00 are identical trucks.
