Hello,See if someone can give me some info here,I just did 3.9 to 5.2 swap truck runs awsome,,Easy swap,I have 2000 dakota,Problem I am having,I have no over drive,an trans temp light on,Trans not over heating an no buss on my odometer,Is still reading milage...Milage comes on with key on,Trans shifts good is orig 3.9 trans,I have 1 2 3 an lock up,No overdrive,Got pcm out of 1999 dakota 5.2 auto 2wd,Thats what mine is except mine is 2000,An info would be great,Thanks

It could just be the trans my mom has a 2000
Durango and it was doing that and took it to the
trans shop and the guy said it was a solenoid
but it fixed it for a while and then the trans went
out.

Whatever is making your trans temp light come on is the
problem. The PCM sees the trans overheating and will not let
it go into OD.

I pop in from time to time to see how my pal from Jindal land is doin, but with places like youtube and facebook and a bunch of others it keeps me busy and I sometimes forget to stop in and say Hi.Glad to see your still around!!

Hello Bucket, and Daddio, its good to se you guys are still around! I have been having some problems since I sold my company, but I am getting back on track again. Well, I was having some problems from being in Iraq too, but what the heck I am doing great now. I still have my 88 Dakota 4X4 too still running good. Just over 200,ooo miles, but only about 40,000 on my reman engine. If I don't make it back again, before the holidays, I hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving, A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Well helloooo to you too Dak49...always a patriot you are!I still got the ol Bucket-Mobile too, she's always at the ready for a good desert trip. I think this year I will register her in Arizona, no stinkin Taxifornia smog checks in Bullhead city, they were killing me here with this every two yr crap and having to pull my fastman throttle body and put the cat converter back on. I just registered a work truck up there and it was great, you can do 1-2 or even 5 yrs reg in advance. Daddio you still running your 3.9 six popper around Cajun country?

Oh yah, she's still kickin. About 180k doesn't burn or leak
anything and original clutch and trans. I'm not giving it up.
