I have a 2000 4x4 auto trans regular cab Dakota with a 4.7. (16 tooth motor) The engine lost oil pressure and sounds like it has thrown a rod. I have looked for a used engine and can not find one for less than 1700 shipped. I can get a 5.2 or 5.9 locally for around 650. What would be the least expensive and easiest engine to swap into this truck? Also, I have been looking for but cant seem to find any write ups on a 4.7 to 5.2 or 5.9 swaps. If you know of any please post a link.
