Hey all, first i tried searching, but couldn't find a good thread on this topic.
Im lookin to buy a Quad Cab 4x2 Dakota Sport Automatic, which i will use more for looks than for towing, and i am undecided as to which engine to get. MPG is a BIG concern for me as i am switching from a Honda Accord to a Dakota.
Is the V6 that underpowered? How much mileage will i lose with the V8, 1-2 MPG i can tolerate, but my first pic for a truck was the ram, too bad it drank gas like water :(
also, if i get a patriot blue sport pluse quad cab with a loaded interior for 22,300 on the road, is that a good price?

I would go with the 4.7 gas mileage is not that bad at all for a v-8.

i think that's what i need to go with demon, im just pissed at these damn dealers, do they really think that 2,000 BY the rebates off the sticker price is a good deal? then they try to act all innocent like they don't get any freakin volume discounts.

TRD supercharged....if you're asking about a
dodge v6 vs. the v8, only choose the lesser if
you cant afford the latter, and beleive me, the
latter is way more fun, specially when
everyone that pulls up next to you thinks you
have the lesser !
I know, I'm tired, it doesnt make sense.

Smart Answer: "No replacement for displacement"....yes there is: "POSITIVE Displacement" (Turbo or Superchager)
Yes...displacement will always win on TQ...but if it's not set up right (heads/cam/intake/transmission/gearing/tires), it won't run as fast. HP to Weight ratio is the ultimate decision as well.
