Message: I bought all new o2 sensors for my 2000 Dakota 4.7 V8. I figured that after 250,000 miles and dealing with the P0135 and P0155 for as long as I have I would just change all four and be done with it. I bought four "Global Automotive" o2 sensors and installed them this last week. I drove the truck for the first time since then and put about 35 miles on it. I parked it and after about 15 minutes I started it back up and put it in gear. I didn't make it 20 feet and the check engine light came on. Displayed are the following fault codes:
P0139-o2 sensor, slow response, Bank 1 sensor 2
P0159-o2 sensor, slow response, Bank 2 sensor 2
P0171-Bank 1 too lean
Po174-Bank 2 too lean
What the hell did I do??? What do I do now??? This is driving me nuts! Please help

Message: After reconnecting the battery and driving it around to finish the drive cycle the codes all came back.

Message: I pulled all the "new" o2 sensors and put my old ones back in. No more fault codes. I'm sure it will log the same old P0135 and P0155 when I start it in the morning and let it warm up so I'm back to square one. I wish I would have been able to figure this out but I guess I can live with those codes.

Message: Daddio, I have the same code P0155 and I am am leaking
power steering, I have a hole in a line and have to add fluid
once a week untill I find time to fix it. I also have codes P0158
and P0551 which is Power Steering pressure. Why did you
ask about the leak, does it have something to do with it.

Message: Yes the leak does have something to do with it. It is most likely leaking from the power steering pressure switch. The fluid is forced down the wiring harness and into th O2 sensro connector and giving a false reading. Change the pressure switch and clean the harness and connector really good. The later model 4.7's are notorious for this problem.
