Subject: AC/Heater help IP: Logged
Message: Recently my AC/heater has stopped working right,
first off when i turn it off the AC light stays lite
and it still blows either hot or cold air depending
on what the temp is set at. Secondly it works on all
speeds except high. Just wondering if the problem is
the blower motor resister or something else.
Thanks

Message: You can probably look at it and see some of the contacts burned out.

went out on my truck the heater/AC only worked on

Message: Take a look at the resistor pack. It should be easy to see the burned up parts

Message: Put in the new resistor and now it works. And i did
see it burned up where it connects to the wires.

Message: Great! What do those resistors cost now? I did mine for the 2nd or 3rd time a few years ago.

Message: It was about $10.00. They sell them at Napa now
instead of only at the dealership

Message: Wow good deal. They might even last longer. I had a dealer unit go bad in only 2-3 years.
