Subject: how to gain torque after changingexhaust IP: Logged
Message: i have a 1994 dodge dakota. i installed a performance accessory lift kit,33 inch mickey thompson mtz's tires, mopar performance computer, removed the ac compressor, deleted the clutch fan, modded the tps sensor, k/n air filter and took out the flap in the grill, hayden trans cooler and electric fan, all these were great mods for the goal i am looking for, which is to have some real fun off roading this coming spring/summer. but this weekend i installed ceramic coated hedman headers and a dynomax cat back system. the cat was rattling so i removed the ceramic inside. so i just got done an hour ago and i took it for a ride. the truck seems to lack lots of low end torque now and the cruising speed on the freeway is lots higher... it would be nice if i used this truck for driving back and forth to work on the freeway but thats not the intent... i really want this thing to kick some serious ass off roading and i think its starting to go in the wrong direction now. so i am looking for advice- should i find some way to put more back pressure in the exhaust for example taking out the cat and reducing the exhaust for about a foot or like down to 2 inch or something. what about adding more fuel at this point like injectors or a throttle body? different coil? the plugs are running a little lean... and now with the exhaust i think they will be running to lean and is there a point of the tps mod that i dont want to pass like.75 volts?
i do have a posi different for the rear and also 3.90 gears for the front and back that we will be installing in about a week? i am just trying to make a really bad ass truck, thank you i have spent lots of time and money on this truck in the past year and will spend lots more, i just need to know what to do next and next and next... like a list thank you chris

Message: Quite a long post so I didn't read it all.
CPS mod? NGK FR5 plugs?
From here the next would be 300$
For Harland Sharp 1.7 ratio roller rockers..
Make note you have a EGR motor removing or gutting
the cat will cost you alot of low end trq.
