i have a 89 dakota convertible with a drivetrain out of a 89 d150 (5.9, 727, 4x4) and i am having some missfire above idle. it is running a tbi but i do not know if its the orginal v6 tbi or if someone switched the 5.9 stuff over too. my question is can i run a msd 6al box or will that mess with the computer? i know some tbi systems read rpms and can advance/retard the timing. does the tbi system in these trucks have that ability?
