Message: Are there no other codes? Check the wiring and connector to the IAC. Something is causing that code. Maybe you've got a defective IAC.

Message: The mechanics said they clear the codes. Check engine light keeps coming on with same code, no other codes, and keeps dying out. also, they said they checked everything. I dont know much about mechanics, just taking there word. But, its been extremely fustrating. Think Im just going to take it to dodge. Just wanted some info so i didnt get screwed over. I appreciate your responses.

Message: The mechanics say they clear the "codes" as in plural, more than one. You say the "same" code keeps returning. Something's wrong here. You've got a problem with the replacement part or something else is causing the problem with the IAC, hence, the mechanics cleared "codes". It could be the TPS but you need to make sure exactly what code/codes are coming up. Autozone and others can read codes for free.

Message: I agree, Head to AZ get them read and cleared.

were cleared.

Message: Thank you. Will make sure that is done. After its cleared and if that same code keeps coming up. Should it be simple to figure out, or is that 508 code more complicated? You would think if it was just a bad IAC they would of easily figured out and fixed that problem.

Message: Just to clarify, A/Z wil NOT clear any codes. They will read them only. And even then, make sure you see them yourself. I've had one store not want me to look at the display when reading codes for me. Needless to say, I haven't been there since.
