Just picked up my QC Friday nite, 6-7-02, and everything is great except while still at the dealer, I noticed some "spray" on the wheel flairs and quarter panels, I noticed when they preped the truck, they sprayed some "tire shine" on the new rubber. However when I went to test drive it, it obviously wasn't dry yet and flew off onto the flares and quarters. Only problem is, that the flares are now stained (small brown specs on a Almond Pearl coat color), and I can't get it off. It came off the quarters ok, but nothing has worked to take it off the Flares. Any Suggestions?

You say you just picked it up? Take it back and demand they fix it!

Sounds like the paint wasnt fully cured yet and the dressing stained it. I would definately take it back!

hit it with some Wax Shop Slick Stuff see what happens. (FYI) Turtle Wax Tire Wax stays on better & last longer than anything else I've used.

I know if you ordered the truck and you had to wait for it, you probably don't want to take it back. But I wouldn't accept a truck where the paint job was fubar 5 seconds after driving off the lot because of neglagence on the dealership's part.
But that's just MHO.

STOP right there! did the same thing myself once. The flares were definately spotted and appeared to be stained, but they arent! Turtle Wax makes a "polish" in a slim metal bottle that is called "Bug and Tar Remover" takes off all sorts of adhesives, including the glue that keeps your decal stickers on. use it to get that stuff off. If that doesn't work, nothing will!
