Subject: 2001 Dakota trouble starting IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 dodge dakota and only just recently
did i start having problems with it. I went to
leave work and it would not start for several
tries. it sounded like it wanted to turn over but
wouldn't. Eventually i got it started and it
sounded like garbage, it was making a "growling"
sound. I got home and parked it for the night. The
next day i got in it for work and it started
right up with no problem what so ever and ran
beautifully. And now it is having the same problem
again. COULD THIS BE CAUSED BY A CLOGGED FUEL
FILTER!?!?!?!?

Message: First two things to do,
#1 - Check for stored codes (even if light isn't
on)
#2 - Get battery "Load Tested"
(not just tested, it's a more complete test)
If battery tests OK check and clean terminals and
terminal ends.
They need/use alot of voltage to run the pcm and
all the sensors.
